On May 3rd, for the fourth consecutive year, the Unity Choir was again honored to perform at the National Day of Prayer celebration sponsored by The Operation Andrew Group and the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. People of all ages and ethnicities gathered in the plaza of the Bridgestone Arena in the heart of downtown Nashville to worship the Lord and pray for our nation – it was truly a time of unity and reverence. The Unity Choir, composed mostly of children from Nashville’s projects, symbolized children throughout our nation as they sang from their hearts and honored the Lord with praise. The program that afternoon included musical guests: Destino, Marty Goetz, Kimber Rising and Janice Gaines, along with prayers and exhortations by local leaders and pastors. After worship, a member of the Unity Choir had the privilege of praying for our nation’s educational system.
