If you are interested in more specific volunteer opportunities, please read below to see which areas best fit your heart and abilities. (Note: Those interested in volunteering for Walk of Love Prep and Transport Teams will need to be able to make it to the Nashville, TN area for the events.)

Walk of Love Support Team

A special opportunity to come early on the day of the Walk of Love to assist the Elijah’s Heart team in various ways such as packing food, preparing refreshments for event attendees, child care for the team, etc… When the event starts, this team will offer support by handing out Walk of Love t-shirts, passing out refreshments, managing attendees and other tasks based on the nature of that particular event.

Finder Team

Based on the focus of an upcoming event, the Finder Team would look for:

• Food and Necessities:  This includes nonperishable food items, toiletries, clothing, air conditioner units, etc…whatever is needed at the time.

• School Uniforms:   Volunteers locate uniforms or set up donation bins to collect quality used uniforms from churches or other organizations.

• Computer Laptops:   Volunteers research businesses and organizations that have new or refurbished laptops to donate for our education program.

Transport Team

Pickup and transport donated items from vendors to site of event (ex: before a Walk of Love) or to homes. This volunteer opportunity is not limited to Walk of Love events. Volunteers may be called upon during the week or on non-event days to help us bring supplies to families in need.  Volunteers with large vehicles or cargo vans are particularly useful but not always necessary.
